We have some VERY exciting news to share today! You can now upload multiple photos at once to your website using our new multi-photo uploader.

To help ease the transition we have created a new element called “Photo Gallery”. You can use the multi-photo uploader for this type of element.

You will no longer be able to add “Photo Album” elements (the old style). Any existing photo Albums you have will remain as is, and if you want to upload images to them you will need to use the old, one-at-a-time method.

How can you tell the difference between a new ‘Photo Gallery’ and an old ‘Photo Album’?

The new Photo Galleries have 2 buttons at the bottom. One brings you to a page where you can upload photos. The other brings you to a page where you can manage you photos (delete, re-order). This means that gallery management is now down on a page other than your site. We found that this allowed the re-ordering to work more consistently. You’ll also notice that the thumbnails for the new photo galleries are square, which, we believe, makes them look nicer.

As of today we are changing we are changing the way photo management works. This is in response to user feedback. We believe that the new method is far more intuitive thanks to the great feedback we have received from users.

Prevoiusly, whenever you uploaded a photo to your wedding website it would be linked to your account. If you were delete (or override) the photo on your wedding website it would remain in your account and would continue to take up storage space. To delete the photo you would have to go to /my/photos.

As of today, whenever you delete a photo from your website it is removed from your account as well. As a result, any photo that was linked to your account but not shown on your website has been flagged to mark for deletion. This should not have any affect on your website as you were unable to reuse those orphaned photos.

We’ve been pretty quiet this summer, but that’s because we’ve been very busy working on some features that we think you’ll REALLY like.  Make sure you stay tuned to this blog, or our facebook page in the coming months as we roll out a lot of exciting new things!
